We encourage museum visits for teaching and offer guided and supported group sessions. Self-guided school groups, higher education groups, further education groups or non-commercial groups visiting as part of a learning programme are exempt from our administration fee.

Please note we are unable to accept an booking enquiries between Thursday 26 - Tuesday 31 March 2026. Bookings will become available again, on this page, on Wednesday 1 April 2026.

Information for visiting schools

Higher education, community groups and adult groups

We encourage museum visits for teaching and offer guided and supported group sessions. Self-guided school groups, higher education groups, further education groups or non-commercial groups visiting as part of a learning programme are exempt from our administration fee.

Tour operators, language schools, summer schools and other commercial groups

We welcome organised group visits and require all groups to book in advance. We ask that groups book at least 2 days in advance in order to secure a booking. There is a £3.00 administration fee per person for all group visits, including travel agencies and tour operators, summer schools and EFL groups. We require students under 18 to be accompanied by one adult per 10 students. The maximum number of people per booking is 55 (up to 50 attendees and 5 supervisors).
