Professor Michie is a member of various University committees including Education, Finance, the Social Sciences Divisional Board and, from October 2018, the Museums Board; he is Treasurer of the Oxford Alumni Society and Chair of Oxford Limited, which deals with the commercialisation of the University's brand, merchandising, etc. Jonathan is Chair of the Board of Governors of UWC Atlantic College and a member of the UWC Council. He is an 'interdisciplinary' member of the Management and Business Panel for the UK Research Excellence Framework 2021.
