Professor Sheldon's research addresses the interface of evolution, behaviour and ecology, and in particular makes use of long-term studies of birds based in Wytham Woods. Current research in his group focuses on understanding the spatial and temporal scales over which organisms adjust to changing environments, and on understanding how information flows within populations.
